I have tweaked handloads for years and always hit a wall at around 1.2MOA, thought that was the best it could do, just did my first ever sub-moa groups using lightweight bullets and a new scope. I have yet to upgrade it in any way internally, same bolt/stock/trigger/barrel/buffers etc, only a few cosmetic upgrades like the grip/handgaurd(still delta) and i put some optics on it. Mine is built on the GEN2 Omni lower, and despite it being my most used rifle by a longshot, i dunnosomewhere between 6-8 thousand rounds, it's still been 100% reliable.period, and it is way more acccurate than i could have expected. Got mine 4 years ago for 500$, flat-top, no frills. They were the nice ones -with a front sight and bayonet lug, railed receiver, forward assist and hinged dust cover. Whataya'll think? What's a boy to do? (Centerfire Systems offered a DelTon Sport A3 carbine for $399.99 delivered but they sold out faster than Olive Garden Pasta Passes, and they don't know when or if they will ever have them again at that price. Both have a 6-position adjustable stock, railed receiver and railed gas block. It also has a few upgrades like a quad-rail forearm (not free floating but a nice touch), flared mag well and 'winter' enlarged trigger guard. The DPMS is all metal, the ATI has a metal reinforced polymer lower. DPMS has a very good rep, ATI not so much, but most of the problems were with the first generation guns, they've come a long way since, and the weapons come with a lifetime warranty anyway. The DPMS has a 1/9" barrel, the ATI has a 1/7". ![]() No other manufacturer comes close to these prices for a finished, warranteed rifle.īoth are entry-level rifles, exactly what I need and want. ![]() The difference between them is just $49.72. OR, I can buy an ATI Omni Hybrid Rail for $439 (local seller) + $26.78 (sales tax) = $467.78. Here's the conundrum: I can buy a DPMS Oracle for $449 on Gunbroker. It will be fired a often, but never fired in anger. No, it will never go hunting, or see combat or police duty, or, God forbid, home defense. I only want this as a fun gun, to plink, target shoot, dress up with tacticool accessories, and thoroughly enjoy. ![]()
